Product Testing Sucks

When the manufacturer of my original soy wax put out the word that they had to reformulate the soy wax that I was using for my candles, I never thought that it would take this long to figure out a new formula, never mind end up testing a whole new wax.
I had just finished testing the Eco-Soya line and settled on the CB-135 wax for my candles and started producing them at the end of 2016 (not gonna lie, I totally had to look at my FaceBook page to figure out when it all started), however, let me start by saying it took me a year of testing other waxes to finally settle on that one to begin with. Then, at the end of December of 2016 I was notified that they were reformulating it but it would be ready in the first quarter of 2017...well, it didn't work out that way at all. I waited patiently until the last quarter of 2017 before I tried to test other waxes, all of which didn't work out. Finally, when the new wax was ready I tested that one, only to be completely let down by how horrible it was to get a scent throw from. It took me months to try different temperatures to add the scent at or pour at and different wicks, and nothing seemed to work. I have spent hundreds, if not thousands, on waxes, scent samples, wicks, etc. since the beginning of this journey; not to mention the countless hours after work and on weekends for all of this testing and frustration because one day I want to own my own brick and mortar store and truly be my own boss.
So, now I am on to a completely different type of wax which is just as environmentally friendly, if not even better, but the product testing and frustration has started all over again. I first tried to use the fragrance samples that I purchased from the supplier that I bought the soy wax from, and although I have had a few exciting scent throws, there are too many that don't seem to work with coconut wax. So now I am on to different wood wicks and fragrance samples and hopefully these work fantastically because I may just lose my shit if they don't. I am beyond frustrated with how long this is taking to get a good strong scent throw from my candles. I am really hoping that this new coconut wax pans out because there are no other options to choose from. I just want a renewable, made in the USA, environmentally conscious and kick ass product...why is that so hard to come by?
