Let's Give Blogging a Whirl...

I have been thinking of starting a blog on here for a while now but have always put it aside. I mean, what would I talk about? All candle related or anything that came to my head? Would anyone read it? What would be the point, really? Today I decided that I am going to give it a try besides all of that. Let's see what I come up with...who knows, it might be entertaining.
Today, let's talk about the increasing frustration I have with the reformulation of the wax I started using when I started this business. Let's begin by saying that it took me a long time to get the original wax calculations just right in order to get a good scent throw from this wax. I spent months trying to figure out the right pour temperature, the right wick to use, the right temperature to add the color and scent...it was exhausting. And just when I finally get it right and I start this company and get out some Fall and Winter scents, I find out that they are discontinuing the wax and they are re-engineering it due to new guidelines.
At first it was going to be done within the first quarter of 2017...okay, no big deal. Then I just start getting the answer that they are close but then you find out that their tests are not going well and the deadline gets extended even more. Before you know it, at least 9 months have passed before it is finally being produced. Then, it doesn't come into stock until close to the end of 2017, so I have been wax-less for about a year, which has put everything on hold.
So now I start over. I have tried two other waxes while waiting for the reformulated one, but they just didn't seem to work for me. So, I finally got a hold of the new reformulated wax and the testing has started all over again. I truly hope that I can get it all figured out soon in between working full time and sitting in 3 hours of traffic a day (and that's on a good day). We need a house and the only way that it going to happen is if I can start making money from this business so we can pay things off and start saving. The pressure for this to work is huge (in my mind anyway).
